Just yesterday, two men were shot and injured in Negeri Sembilan while inside a Perodua Myvi.

As we reported previously, both victims were rushed to Hospital Tunku Jaafar (HTJ), but one of them, believed to be the bodyguard of the other victim, was later pronounced dead while receiving treatment.

2 suspects have been arrested in connection with the shooting

In a recent development, two suspects believed to be involved in the shooting of the two men inside a car on Jalan Rasah near the Port Dickson Toll Plaza have been arrested.

According to Seremban District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Azahar Abdul Rahim, both suspects, who are in their 40s, were detained in Seremban at 2 AM, as reported by Sinar Harian.

“After the shooting incident that left one victim dead, the Seremban District Criminal Investigation Division launched an investigation and tracked down the suspects. They were arrested at a house, and a pistol believed to have been used in the case was seized,” he said.

Police believe the motive behind the attack was revenge

Azahar added that checks revealed the critically injured victim had been involved in a slashing incident at a supermarket last April.

He noted that the police haven’t ruled out revenge as a possible motive, but investigations are still ongoing.

“Right now, we’re still looking into whether this case is linked to secret society activities. A remand application for both suspects was submitted this morning for further questioning,” he said.
