A 17-year-old student was seen assaulting another student on a motorcycle in front of a school in Johor recently, with the altercation caught in a dashcam video that has circulated online.
The victim, a male teenager who is also 17 years old, lodged a police report on Thursday (29 January) at 7:13 PM. 
The incident occurred at approximately 2:30 PM that same day outside a secondary school in Larkin. In the police report, the victim claimed that he was attacked by the suspect and the suspect’s unemployed 20-year-old brother.
The victim allegedly sexually harassed a female student, which led to the attack
Johor Bahru South District Police Chief, ACP Raub Selamat, stated that initial investigations found that the incident occurred following the complainant’s alleged involvement in an incident of sexually harassing a 13-year-old female student at the school at around 2 PM, just 30 minutes before the attack took place.
The female student also lodged a police report about the matter at 5:43 PM the same day.

Raub added that the assault is being investigated under Section 323 of the Penal Code. As for the alleged case of sexual harassment, it’s being investigated under Section 509 of the Penal Code.
In an official statement this morning (30 January), Raub also advised the public not to spread the video on social media to avoid misunderstandings or speculation that could affect social harmony.
If found guilty under Section 323 of the Penal Code, the suspects face a jail term of up to one year and a fine of up to RM2,000 or both. For Section 509 of the Penal Code, the suspect may face a jail term of not more than five years if convicted.
