In conjunction with Christmas today (25 December), PAS has extended its festive wishes while reminding all Malaysians that the nation’s diversity must be preserved with wisdom and sincerity.

In a statement, PAS Secretary-General Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan said that harmony isn’t achieved through uniformity, but through a genuine willingness to respect and protect the space for all citizens in the country.

PAS said Malaysians should unite across all faiths and backgrounds

Takiyuddin also highlighted that Malaysians should come together in heart and vision to build a safe and dignified nation for everyone, regardless of their religion or beliefs.

“The values celebrated during Christmas, love, forgiveness, humility, and service, are universal values shared across all religions and beliefs, including Islam.

“With the world facing ongoing conflicts and misunderstandings, Malaysia should continue to be a shining example of healthy and mature coexistence,” the statement read.

“Harmony thrives when we truly respect and protect space for all”

Takiyuddin also noted that even if people don’t see eye to eye on everything, they can still choose to listen, strive for understanding, and respect the rights and dignity of all who share the Malaysian sky.

“Harmony isn’t about everyone being the same, but PAS believes it can be enjoyed when we genuinely respect and protect space for all citizens in the country.

“PAS wishes a Happy Christmas Day to all Malaysians of the Christian faith, hoping it will be a time to strengthen bonds, renew hope, and reaffirm our commitment to a culture of love and goodwill for all.”
