PAS is reportedly organising a fundraiser for one of its members, Siti Mastura, who was recently sued for RM825,000 by DAP leaders.
Siti Mastura, the MP of Kepala Batas, lost a defamation suit for claiming that Lim Kit Siang and Lim Guan Eng had family ties to Communist Party of Malaya (CPM) leader Chin Peng, in addition to accusing Teresa Kok of having ties to Lim.
A letter recently went viral, where PAS Secretary-General Takiyuddin Hassan allegedly said that the DAP leader in question demanded the payment immediately. The letter also claimed that the fundraiser, where PAS central committee chiefs and state, division, and branch chiefs were required to donate at least RM500 each.
State divisions, as well as wings at the federal, state, and divisional levels, on the other hand, are required to raise at least RM20,000 each.
In the letter, Takiyuddin also allegedly said the failure to pay immediately would result in bankruptcy proceedings being initiated against Siti Mastura, which could, in turn, cause her to lose her seat and trigger a by-election.
PAS, however, has yet to release an official statement about the fundraiser. Regardless, what do you think of this move to help Siti Mastura?
