Not surprising to witness yet another “representative” from the animal kingdom reminding us on what humanity really is.

Recently, a Facebook post from the Daily Express caught netizen’s attention where it shared an absolutely heartwarming image of an orangutan sticking it’s hand out to a man in the mud, which image was captured by a famous photographer, Anil Prabhakar.

The post received over 17k likes along with 4.6k shares up to date.

This beautiful portrait was captured at a rehabilitation center situated in Eastern Borneo. It shows an interaction between the gorgeous mammal and a Orangutan Survival Foundation staff.

Just to let you know, the man was not in danger. Oh, how so innocent and pure these beautiful animals are!

It appears that a staff who works at the rehabilitation center had to get down and dirty to do his job. He’s seen in a swamp holding a tool facing the mammal. The orangutan on the other hand, knelt down and leaned over with its hand reaching out, indicating wanting to pull the man out of the mud.

The picture truly speaks a thousand words. With everything that is happening around us, despite taking away their homes, the thought of revenge never exist within these creatures.

At a time when the concept of humanity is dying inside humans, sometimes, animals guide us back to the basic principles of humanity“, the author states.

Here’s what netizens think:

It’s often wonderful to see interactions between animals and humans. So much so that the connection can be felt all the way through a screen.
