Last November, Nor Salwani became a Malaysian hero after she revealed that she kept the original audit report on 1MDB as well as a recording of a meeting which discussed the amendments that were done to the 1MDB final audit report.

Her boss at that time, the auditor-general, Ambrin Buand had released the order that all copies of the report be destroyed to ensure no leaks can happen and only the modified report will be submitted.

Thanks to Nor Salwani’s actions, the National Audit Department’s report on 1MDB has managed to stay clear from any alleged tampering. Because of this heroic act, Nor Salwani, who is now the National Audit Department’s director, has been bestowed with the title “Datuk” by the Yang Di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah.

As reported by Malaysiakini, she is among the 25 recipients of the Panglima Mahkota Wilayah which allows her to carry the title “Datuk”. Congratulations from us at WOB. You definitely deserve it for your heroic act to defend the interest of Malaysia and the rakyat.
