Imagine a young girl who was groomed by her predator when she was 12. The girl was truly happy because she did not know the reality of the situation she was in. To her, she was being loved, by a man, who’s the same age as her dad.

To be comforted, held lovingly by a father figure, without knowing that at the end, the man she “loves”, only has one thing in mind; to satisfy his sickening lust. She was 13 when she got pregnant. She has to take care of her baby at that age but she can’t even reach the tub to bathe her own child.

Then there is another girl, Nini, a foster child, thinking that it is normal when her foster dad to ask her for a kiss and touch her everywhere. One day, her mother found out the truth.

Her foster dad will pick her up from school, bring her to his place and then they will shower together. In the shower, he will then ask her to stroke him until he is satisfied.

The mother made a police report but no action was taken because they can’t prove the molestation ever occurring. But it was too late, Nini was already addicted to the act of being touch intimately. At 18, she ran away, and got herself pregnant.

These girls are among the victims of grooming done by sick pedophiles in the country and their stories were shared by a local NGO, Baitus Solehah, which provides protection for pedophilia victims and pregnant teenagers.

The group provides religious guidance as well as counselling help to assist the girls as they venture back out into the real world after their 6-month stay there. They can even go through their pregnancy, give birth and get confinement care.

Ultimately, Baitul Solehah is there to show that pedophilia is a serious problem happening rampantly in Malaysia as according to one of the post by them, in 2017, there were so many young girls who gave birth at their centre.

Pedophilia is never okay. Please, always keep our young ones safe!
