Earlier today (10th January), Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad met with Johor Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar for the first time since he was sworn in as Prime Minister in May last year.
According to The Star, the meeting was scheduled for 3pm today at Istana Bukit Serene after the Johor Sultan requested to meet with the Prime Minister a few weeks ago. Tun Dr Mahathir stated that it would just be a normal meeting. Now, it looks like their meeting has just concluded and the Prime Minister is on his way to the Senai airport to return to Kuala Lumpur.
A video of an old first generation Proton Saga was seen driving out of Istana Bukit Serene, and according to Bernama, the Johor Sultan was personally driving Tun Dr Mahathir to the airport in this car!

Netizens who already caught wind of this video began commending the Johor Sultan for being so humble and courteous.
Just yesterday (9th January), netizens also praised our deputy Agong Sultan Nazrin of Perak after a photo of him and his family using the ETS recently began to circulate online. Malaysians took to social media to express their admiration of the Perak royal family for being so down-to-earth.
Well, it’s always nice to see our royals doing ordinary, everyday things like us!
