Ever since the pandemic struck the world, the education system has resorted to online learning. To do so, you obviously need a stable internet connection and a working device to attend online lectures.
However, it cannot be denied that some students can still hardly afford a laptop. To curb the matter, the Negeri Sembilan state government will be giving out 500 units of laptops worth RM1.2 million to STPM students and those in public universities who belong to the B40 group.
According to a report by Berita Harian, Negeri Sembilan MB, Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun said that as of now, 200 STPM students in the state have received the aid and the remaining laptops will be given to students in public universities who are eligible.
‘This is to help ease the burden of some students who are in dire need of a laptop in order to ensure a smooth learning process,” he explained.
Additionally, aid like Bantuan Sara Hidup (BSH) to a number of 2,000 B40 students will also be given in order to help the students who are lacking in pocket money while being on campus.
Aminuddin also said that all forms of aid from the state government show that the leaders care about the well being of the people.
“The aid has shown that the state government is committed to maintain the excellence of the students without being affected by financial constraints.”
We would also like to thank the Negeri Sembilan state government for helping students in need and hopefully the aid will be appreciated.
