In a report written by Free Malaysia Today, the current embattled former prime minister has even used the coarse word ‘bangsat’ (damned) to describe how the Malays will be treated under the new Pakatan Harapan government.
Najib said the Malays can not depend on the present government whose “strength comes from non-Malay support”. Clearly we see the former premier banking in on racial politics in hopes of garnering support for the opposition.
In the video below, he calls for party members to unite after the party elections which saw his former deputy Ahmad Zahid Hamidi becoming the new party head.
“So far, the PH government has allowed Bahasa Melayu to be violated, while the agenda for Islam and the Bumiputera has no place in their administration.
“I have said before that Malays would be bangsat (damned) in their own land should Umno lose power. We have lost power and we must firmly face God’s test,” he posted in a message on his Facebook page.

He was referring to his speech at the Umno general assembly in December last year (as shown in the video), where he said the Malays would lose their special rights if the opposition took over.
One can speculate that he is still trying to hold on to vestiges of his former power by trying to stir the public with racial sentiments.
This behaviour however is nothing new from the former premier as he is no stranger to using coarse language in official speeches. In an official speech during MCA’s AGM, he said to members of the floor that the then opposition was stupid for thinking that Malaysia’s sovereignty was under threat.
