Get ready to register your family members without phones for their vaccinations!
Starting last month, Malaysians could register to get their vaccination via their MySejahtera app. Currently, the vaccination program in Malaysia is at its first phase where frontliners will be getting vaccinated first. Following this, the second phase will involve those with comorbidities, senior citizens, and OKUs.
If you’ve been wondering how do those with no phones and no access to the MySejahtera app register for their vaccinations, in a press conference today, the Minister of Science, Technology, and Innovation, Khairy Jamaluddin announced that the “Family Registration” function will be available in MySejahtera after 12 March.
The minister is confident that with the launch of this feature, Malaysians can help their parents or anyone under their care register for the vaccine. Through this, the remaining 80 per cent of Malaysians yet to register for their vaccine can definitely do so.
Malaysia has decided to receive a total of 32 million doses of Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, an additional seven million doses for the National Covid-19 Immunisation Program. The five districts with the highest vaccination registrations are Kuala Lumpur, Kota Bharu, Kuching, Kuantan, and Kota Kinabalu while the highest five states to receive the vaccine are Sarawak, Pahang, Selangor, Kelantan, and Sabah.
