If you have nothing productive to say, maybe just keep your comments to yourself?

The emergence of TikTok creators has brought new waves to the creative industry as these creators bring a whole new genre of content that ranges from comedy, education, fitness, and many more. TikTok creators are unique as they manage to create engaging content within the limited time period allowed. However, it’s disheartening to see certain creators receive comments that are not only inappropriate but also hindering their work in the future.

Khalish is a TikTok content creator who focuses mainly on fitness videos and various workouts that could be done while in quarantine. Through his postings, Khalish has amassed over 30K followers and 250K likes. While there hasn’t been anything remotely negative about his videos, his recent video has been the subject of scrutiny from Twitter users due to the lewd comments he’s received from netizens.

In the video, Khalish explains the exercises one could do if they don’t like running but a majority of the comments were from women who were sexualizing him and the clothes he wore.

“I can’t control my eyes, please stop exposing like this. At least use some emojis to cover up, pity those who have’t married yet.”

Khalish responded to the comments on his Twitter saying that he uses TikTok to share his passion for exercise but for some people, the attention seems to be elsewhere. He reassured the public that he will not be deterred by this and will continue sharing his passion.

“Although this issue hasn’t bothered me, [it] doesn’t mean it is okay, we should focus on the content, and respect the creator.”

Let us know what you think about this issue!
