The driver left her car with the door unlocked

In a reenactment video, a car thief can be seen covering the camera at the back of a parked car, patiently waiting for the driver to approach and enter the vehicle.

As the driver puts the car in reverse, she spots something blocking the rearview camera, which immediately makes her suspicious. Worried, she decides to step out of the car to investigate further.

In her rush to check, she leaves the car door unlocked. While she’s busy looking at the back of the car, the thief jumps into the driver’s seat and drives off.

The caption of the post reads,

“Be careful if you find yourself in a situation like this.”

Netizens started flooding the comment section with their thoughts and reactions.

“That’s why now, after seeing a car being stolen with the owner inside, even if there’s someone in the passenger seat, I still turn off the engine and remove the car keys. If I’m more than 30 feet away, I’ll lock the car from the outside.”

“The thief covered the rear camera so the driver saw a blurry view on the screen. That’s why the driver went out to check. The message here is to be careful for the safety of your vehicle.”

“This content is to teach a lesson. If you need to get out of the car, even for a moment, you have to be careful, especially when you’re alone. If the engine is on and the car keys are inside, the thief can easily do their job.”

“Even if it’s just for a moment, don’t leave your car with the door open once the engine is started. If anything happens, remove the car keys and close the door. That’s actually the advice.”
