Everyone knows the iconic double-decker bus in London. We’ve seen it in films and on social media, but imagine our surprise when we heard of one cruising along the streets of Penang! For real?!

If you’re one of the lucky Malaysians who witnessed this vibrant red bus in person, don’t worry, you weren’t hallucinating! There’s an exciting reason why it is making its rounds in Penang…

The double-decker bus is actually a unique marketing stunt by M Summit Group!

The bus will be continuing its journey around Penang until 4 February 2024 and it even has a few special surprises for Malaysians. Just read on to find out more!

Catch this iconic bus in Penang & say hello to the special VIP

Starting its journey in Penang on 23 January, the double-decker bus acts as a sales gallery on wheels for M Summit’s newest residential property called London Pavilion!

The bus has visited various locations throughout Penang including George Town, Air Itam, Second Penang Bridge, Bayan Lepas, and Batu Maung. Just as expected, it managed to gain excited reactions from Penang folks and tourists who witnessed it on the road.

According to M Summit, a local Penangite was even curious about whether the bus had travelled all the way from London but it was revealed that the bus was modified to resemble the classic London transport. The interior of the bus was also embellished with a fireplace, a television set and various Union-Jack-themed items, further enhancing the London-esque vibes for visitors. Is this not the coolest looking bus you’ve ever seen?!

To make the experience even better, visitors are more than welcome to hop aboard and take a few snapshots around the cool bus. It really feels like a once-in-a-lifetime experience!

Apart from the bus itself, visitors were also thrilled to find out that there was a special VIP travelling on the bus, which was none other than the God of Prosperity! With Chinese New Year coming up, this jolly ‘deity’ definitely found a cool way to get around Penang and spread his blessings. If you haven’t had a chance to spot this ‘God’ yet, you’re in luck because he will still be making his rounds on the bus. More info below!

If you’re interested in meeting with the ‘God of Prosperity’ or you just want to catch a glimpse of the double-decker bus, be sure to make your way to Karpal Singh Drive (in front of The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf) this 2 to 4 February from 5PM to 9PM where the bus will be making a pitstop. Not only can you check out the unique interior of the bus, but you can also claim an exclusive London Pavilion tote bag while you’re at it!

And don’t forget, you can use this chance to take a photo with the God of Prosperity and you may also wish for an ong-some year ahead!

Live in a slice of London in the heart of Penang

As we mentioned beforehand, the double-decker bus is a gallery-on-wheels for this new exciting condominium project by M Summit Gallery. The exclusive residential, aptly named London Pavilion, only houses 527 units and is adorned with iconic London-themed elements from its elegant designs to modern amenities.

Located in Bayan Lepas, Penang, the residents of the condominium will enjoy various benefits thanks to its prime location including easy access to Penang International Airport, the second Penang Bridge, the Balik Pulau Durian Farms, and many others.

Always admired the special charms of London? Then be sure to drop by London Pavilion’s show unit located at Scots Pavilion condo in Scotland Road, George Town.
