An iconic game which has stood the test of time, The Sims is one of the most popular free-to-play social simulation games that allows players to literally create an entire virtual life for themselves.
From developing your own character to making a family, finding a job, and even buying a house for them, players are responsible for taking care of their characters in every aspect. Be it feeding them, bathing them, and allowing interaction with others, players are providing a full life to these icons.
However, a recent update made by the game caught the attention of one Malaysian player named Alvin Jin Yi, who shared this discovery in a Reddit post to the page r/malaysia. In a series of photos, Alvin revealed that The Sims 4 has included a realistic and accurate version of nasi lemak.
Sharing his thoughts, Alvin added context by referring to a former post he made in December, where he spoke on the inclusion of an odd nasi lemak dish in The Sims 4, which looked quite inaccurate. In that post, Alvin displayed how the dish looked more like a bowl of fried rice, though its description stated that the item was nasi lemak.
Despite this, an updated version of the game has since changed said bowl to coconut rice, while creating an entirely new nasi lemak dish that is visually precise to what we’d have in real life. The dish itself consists of rice, a piece of fried chicken, half-boiled eggs, peanuts, sambal and fried anchovies.
“Rice, coconut milk, and pandan leaf – there’s a combination for you! Nasi Lemak, also known as Coconut Rice, is the national dish of Malaysia for a reason. It’s rich, unique flavours pairs wonderfully with a variety of toppings, and is often served in a banana leaf,” wrote a description of the item in the game.
Garnering a positive response online, many Malaysians expressed how excited they were to see nasi lemak accurately represented in the game, with one user adding their hope to see more Malaysian cuisines in The Sims 4 in time to come.
“Woah, 4 halves of hard-boiled eggs?! That’s one generous serving!” wrote one user.

Last December I posted about Nasi Lemak and Satay added in Sims 4, but the Nasi Lemak is not accurate(left), but they fixed and added an accurate one!(right) Pardon that it looks low quality, my pc is like potato, can’t handle high graphics
