The kind actions of a policeman from the Royal Malaysia Police’s (PDRM) Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPT) touched the hearts of Malaysians recently after a video of him helping an elderly woman in Kota Bharu, Kelantan on 6 January went viral.
The video, originally shared by social media user Mohd Rozani Mohd Ghazali, made its rounds online and has since been reshared by PDRM on its official Facebook page today, garnering over 2,100 reactions in just 2 hours.
In the video, the policeman, Constable Zulhairie Nayan from JSPT Kota Bharu, can be seen dropping off an elderly woman near Masjid Muhammadi mosque in the Kelantan capital after giving her a lift on his motorcycle.
In the 28-second video, the elderly woman slowly disembarked from the motorcycle while holding tightly Zulhairie’s right arm.
The policeman then made sure that the elderly woman safely disembarked and the two had a brief inaudible conversation before she continued with her journey.
The policeman then attentively kept an eye on the elderly woman to ensure she was all good to continue walking before riding away.
