Various breeds of animals never cease to amaze human beings through their appearance, simply because even within a specific species, they can still look so different from one another.
No instance was clearer than a recent TikTok clip captured by a Malaysian woman named Nurul Hana, who shared a short video of a stray cat she came across at a roadside eatery. In the video shared to her page @hana.mutalib, the cat in question, whose fur was a mixture of orange, brown, and white, had a face pattern that was nothing short of beautiful.
With a black patch running straight over its chin, mouth, and nose, the kitty looked as though it was wearing a face mask. Sitting around and minding its own business, the cat even looked over at Hana’s camera at one point, showing off its piercing yellow eyes in the process.
Taking a moment to scratch itself, the cat also displayed the underneath of its chin, showing one white line of fur in the middle, leading to its mouth. Almost as though it was posing for the camera, the cat eventually stopped scratching itself and gave Hana’s camera a side profile of its face.
Truly resembling that of a face mask, the black patch on the cat’s face starts from the animal’s jaw line, and continued to the other end of its face.
Garnering massive attention online, many users couldn’t help but makes jests towards the cat, stating that it reminded them of the days during the conditional movement control order (CMCO) in Malaysia, where everyone had to wear a mask.
Some even kidded around, saying that it “wasn’t wearing the mask properly”, while others stated that it must have been boring during the years COVID-19 overtook the world.
“Is anyone going to tell it that there’s a hole on its mask,” jokingly added another user.

Hey, if the cat can keep its mask on, so can the rest of us!
