It’s always a bummer when we can’t celebrate the festive seasons with our loved ones, or the people who matter the most. Be it Raya, CNY, or Christmas & Deepavali, the big day is just not entirely fulfilled without the presence of some people.
However, you should consider yourself lucky with the presence of people who do what they can to make you feel at home. In a TikTok post by @ahhpoi, a Sarawakian who works in KL, he has shown that having the right group of people around you is also a privilege. Max was unable to celebrate Christmas this year with his family at home but lucky for him, he has a group of friends who went the extra mile to make him feel at home.
When Max returned to his house in KL, he was greeted and surprised by his friends, who were all ready with food to celebrate Christmas with him! They were his Secret Santas and they brought Christmas back to him in KL. The secret Santas had been ready behind the door to welcome him home.
Max was too stunned to speak at first and he stood at the door for a few seconds, before he slowly walked towards the dining table where his friends cheered for him.
He was obviously touched by the efforts and surprises.
“Thank you dear friends for surprising me with a Christmas celebration,” he said in his post.
Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Max said that he couldn’t return home to Sarawak this year for a Christmas celebration with his family due to some reasons, which he did not specifically disclose.
“This was the only year that I couldn’t go back to Sarawak. They’re all my friends in KL, and I’m glad to have understanding people around me,” Max told WORLD OF BUZZ.

#fyp @M_MaxFashion
Max is far from home but he has “Santas” who make him feel right at home every day, not just on Christmas. To those who managed to celebrate the festive season, how was your Christmas this year?
