A Malaysian road user witnessed a real-life scene that seemed straight out of a TV drama after seeing what looked to be a lovers’ quarrel that took place along a road.

A video of the incident was then posted by X user @thesemut, capturing the attention of Malaysians who were mostly amused by what had transpired. As of the time of writing, the X post has garnered over 2,600 likes and more than 2,300 reposts.

In the 34-second video, a woman can be seen walking alone by the roadside while ignoring a Proton Waja following her slowly with the passenger window open.

The driver of the car, believed to be the woman’s partner, can be seen talking and trying to ‘pujuk’ or persuade her throughout the video.

However, it was to no avail as the woman seemed resolute in her decision and gave the man the silent treatment as he casually walked by the roadside. The video then abruptly ended without us knowing what transpired afterwards.

In the X post, @thesemut wrote the caption as if portraying an employee trying to explain why they were late to work to their boss, asserting,

“Why are you late for work? There’s a traffic jam. Is there an accident? A husband is trying to win over his sulking wife, boss.”

In the replies to the X post, Malaysians share their opinions on the incident, with some empathising with the couple while others criticised them for causing inconvenience to other road users.

One commenter was amused by the situation and hoped that the man would remain patient at dealing with his partner sulking.

Meanwhile, another commenter said that the woman shouldn’t have walked by the roadside while sulking as it not only causes inconvenience for her partner but also other road users.

The same sentiment was shared by another commenter, though he thinks that the man should’ve stopped the car and walked with his partner while trying to ‘pujuk’ her.

However, one commenter saw the video from a different point of view, saying that it might just be the couple recording a TikTok video.

So, what do you guys think of the video? Share your thoughts with us in the comments.
