A social media post by a hotpot restaurant in Skudai, Johor caught the attention of Malaysians recently, depicting the lengths that 1 of its patrons went through just to get her hotpot fix.
Going viral on Facebook, the post by 汆悦麻辣烫 or Cuan Yue Malatang restaurant showed 2 female patrons at their branch in Sutera Mall in Skudai, Johor picking up fresh ingredients for their hotpot.
A woman braving sickness to get her hotpot fix at a Skudai restaurant
What makes this rather normal occurrence stand out is the fact that 1 of the women came to the restaurant with an IV drip attached!
Furthermore, unlike other patients with IV drips. this woman didn’t bring a mobile pole to keep the IV bag elevated.
Instead, the other woman who was with her manually kept the IV bag elevated by holding it up so that the IV drip could function normally.
In the caption of the post, Cuan Yue Malatang wrote,
“Thank you to this woman for her deep love for our restaurant. She came over to eat her spicy hotpot. Wish you good health and speedy recovery “
Malaysians amused by the woman’s antics
In the comments section, many Malaysians were amused by the woman braving sickness to eat her favourite meal.
One commenter joked that wind or rain, nothing could stop the woman from getting her hotpot fix.
Meanwhile, several commenters tagged their partners and friends, with some even planning a trip to eat at the restaurant after seeing this sick woman’s love for the meals there.
Besides that, one commenter jokingly dubbed the woman ‘miss spicy’ for her apparent love for spicy hotpot.
