Making our lives a tad bit easier, satellite navigation systems such as Waze have worked to provide an easier commute for drivers not only in Malaysia but across the world. However, one Malaysian man recently discovered a special feature on the app that made his significant other very happy.
In a TikTok video posted by content creator Afifah to her account @afifah.ml, the user shared how her husband, Amirul, uses her and their child’s voice for his Waze navigation system. Following the directions on his phone, Afifah hears both her and her son’s voices on the app with every turn her husband makes.
At one point, Amirul even makes a different turn than what was shown in the app, with his wife’s voice coming up to tell him to slow down as she finds a new route. Shortly after, the application rerouted to find another direction.
“You can turn to the right Abah,” said the voice of Amirul’s son after the reroute.
Oscillating back and forth between both of their voices, the video ended with Amirul continuing on his route to his destination.
Capturing many people’s attention, a variety of Malaysians asked how Amirul was able to set such a feature in his phone, saying that they would want to do it for themselves too and add the voice of their loved ones.
“I want to do this, but then I’ll be annoyed hearing my own voice,” jested one user.
Another user also jokingly mentioned how if her husband doesn’t do this, she would ask for a refund.
However, the vast majority of TikTok commenters expressed how cute the video was, especially hearing the sound of Amirul and Afifah’s son as well.
