Most hawker stalls and restaurants tend to prepare food for their customers in takeaway plastic containers or plastic bags. These days, most customers are more concerned about the environment and would bring along their own containers to tapau their food.
This usually means bringing your own Tupperware or recycling old plastic containers you have at home. But tapau-ing food with a fish tank? That’s next level!
Recently, a Facebook user, Charles Kuay, took to his Facebook to share a picture of how his dad attempted to tapau food from a hawker using a little plastic fish tank they had at home.
Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Charles explained that his 72-year-old father never liked taking away hot food in plastic containers or plastic bags. So, this time when he went out to tapau curry mee, he brought along the fish tank!
His post garnered over 1,400 shares, 1,600 likes and 400 comments! Netizens were blown away by his father’s creativity!
Charles added that it was the first and last time his dad ever tried taking away food with the fish tank as it garnered way too much attention from everyone.
