It’s always best to regulate our emotions and not turn to violence when anger consumes us.

However, that is not the case for this teacher in Pontian, Johor who physically assaulted a few of his students.

According to KOSMO!, the teacher at the religious school went out of control when he found that students were peeking at him when he was smoking in the school storeroom. In his fit of anger, he punched and strangled the children.

It is said that the 48-year-old teacher was also scolding other students using cuss words.

Punch Fist

The Pontian District Police Chief, Superintendent Mohammad Shofee Tayib, has said that the childrens’ parents went to lodge a police report at the Ayer Baloi police station.

“According to early investigations, the children were crying and shivering when they returned home and they reported to their family what had taken place.”

Elaborating further, he said that the parents did not agree with the teacher’s extreme methods and lodged the police report.

The teacher has admitted that he was angry when he found out that the students were peeking at him while he was smoking.

Smoking Hand

Superintendent Mohammad Shofee Tayib says that the teacher has not been arrested yet as they are still waiting for instructions from the Deputy Public Prosecutor’s office before they can continue investigating the teacher.

A Pol 59 notice was issued to the 4 students as well so that they could get a detailed check at the Pontian hospital.

We certainly hope that justice can be served.
