An incident that befell a Malaysian teacher is currently taking social media by storm, as she was forced to skip her own wedding to attend a Parent-Teacher Association (PIBG) meeting.
Social media influencer and teacher, Mohd Fadli Salleh, took to his Facebook page to share the teacher’s story as explained by another social media user whose mother had attended the teacher’s wedding when the teacher, herself, couldn’t.

The user wrote, “My mum attended a wedding without a bride and groom. Apparently, the bride is a teacher at one of the schools in Seremban, and the principal didn’t allow her to take the day off due to a PIBG meeting. So, she couldn’t make it to her own wedding. So sad.”
According to a report by Sinar Harian, the teacher had apparently applied for leave for her wedding day 3 months in advance.
“Just disobey!”
Considering how ridiculous the situation seemed, Mohd Fadli Salleh initially assumed that the story was falsified, but managed to confirm its authenticity.
This led him to call out the principal while suggesting that the teacher should have done everything in her power to attend her wedding instead.

“Getting an administrator who is strict and unpredictable, the type who likes to cause trouble with no consideration for others, is really stressful. Seriously, I didn’t think there were administrators who behaved like this. They have no empathy at all. They are not qualified to be a principal or headmaster if they are like this,”
“This case is real. Seriously, I didn’t think something like this could happen. The administrator must be dead inside. The teacher, too, is nice and just obeyed. It’s your wedding day, just disobey the order, take unpaid leave or something. Just answer a letter asking for an explanation later,” he said.
What do you think the teacher should have done in this situation? Do feel free to share your thoughts in the comment section.
