It’s no secret that concert tickets in Malaysia tend to sell out quickly, sometimes due to the large fanbase, and other times due to scalpers who buy tickets in bulk.
Due to this, many did not manage to get tickets for themselves for the recent Bruno Mars concert on September 17 (Tuesday) at the National Stadium, Bukit Jalil. But, for one Malaysian student, Bruno Mars decided to provide her with tickets HIMSELF!
The student, @heyyitsxuann, took to her TikTok page to recount how she had stumbled upon Bruno Mars at KLCC the day before his concert.
She wrote, “Super blessed and grateful.”
They were both queuing for fruit juice
Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, she shared that she was in line at a fruit juice store in KLCC when she noticed a man who looked exactly like Bruno Mars standing in line in front of her.
“He was completely covered up, he was dressed so basic that he looked like every other person in the mall. But, the first thing I recognised was his eyes. I knew his eyes looked really familiar (he had a mask and a beanie on), but I was scared that I was getting it wrong,”
“He then turned around and as he was walking to the opposite store, he took off his mask and drank his juice so I knew it HAD to be Bruno Mars,” she said.
Seeing that he had been recognised from @heyyitsxuann’s excitement, he gestured for her to remain silent as he didn’t want to draw attention to himself.
He also chose not to take a picture with her when she asked, as that too would attract the eyes of the passersby around them.
Not wanting to waste the moment, @heyyitsxuann then asked him if he was willing to record a voicemail for her friend, who is a huge Bruno Mars fan, and explained that they wanted to get tickets to his concert but unfortunately, the tickets they could afford, due to them being students, were sold out in a blink of an eye.
Hearing that, Bruno Mars knew exactly what to do.
“Even though I was just sharing without the intention or thought of anything except wanting to tell him how much we loved his work, he straight away, without hesitation, told me not to worry and offered to get us 2 tickets,”
“He was telling his staff to get my name and they sent it to someone and told me to redeem it the next day,” she explained.
On the day of the concert, @heyyitsxuann and her friend decided to keep their expectations low out of fear of being disappointed, though they were happy that they were getting tickets from the headliner himself!
“We went around asking so many people, from the information counters to the staff working there, but no one knew how to help us because we didn’t have e-tickets. Some probably thought I was joking when they asked who gave me the tickets and I had to say Bruno Mars,”
“Finally, I found a counter with the sign ‘Will Call’ printed above, they asked for my name and how many tickets I was promised. When they confirmed my identity, they handed us 2 tickets, it was printed with ‘Cat 1’ with ‘RM0.00’,” she said.
In the end, her tickets seated her and her friend in the middle section right in front of the stage, behind the VIP lane, which gave them an amazing view of the concert!

We’re not sure about you but we’ll definitely be hanging out at KLCC more often. We might just stumble upon a celebrity who may give us tickets to their show too! Green Day, we’re talking about you!
