It’s no secret that everyone wants cool cars with cool features. For instance, a couple of years ago, the latest trend in cars were the push-to-start button, where people showed off how they could start their cars with just the push of a button.

Though, now it appears that everyone can have a push-to-start button in their vehicles, if they’re smart enough to make one!

The 我们是马来西亚人 We are Malaysians Facebook page took to their profile to showcase how a Malaysian had built his own push-to-start button in his van, with just a light switch.

They wrote, “DIY push-to-start button, SIRIM approved!”

In the video, the man is seen approaching an old school blue van, which clearly wouldn’t have the push-to-start feature.

The man then unlocks the van and puts his key into the ignition, but does not turn it. Instead, he then presses down on the accelerator and turns on a light switch installed into the dashboard, which started the engine!

As the engine starts, he then turns off the switch as the engine stayed running.

“This is for champions, cannot be bought! It’s good, it’s SIRIM-approved!” the man can be heard saying, while showcasing the SIRIM sticker on the light switch.

It’s truly amazing to see how creative and smart Malaysians can be with their inventions and fixes.

We can’t wait to see what this brilliant Malaysian will come up with next!
