Have you driven at night and noticed a fellow road user forgot to turn on their vehicle light, endangering the driver and others on the road due to the lack of visibility?

Well, such a situation is more common than you think so a Malaysian content creator specialising in giving driving tips took to TikTok to share the proper and safe way to get the attention of the driver and make them realise their lights are off.

@driving4dummies then shared that when you’re at the back of the car, flash your high-beam headlights twice.

Afterwards, turn off our own vehicle’s lights for around 3 seconds before turning them back on.

As for the situation he was in, the Saga driver still hadn’t noticed that their lights were off, as the lights emitting from the back of the car were only their brake lights.

He then advised people not to be disheartened when trying to help others and tried the same manoeuvre again.

This time around, the Saga driver finally understood what @driving4dummies was trying to do and accordingly, turned on their lights.

Not only that, the Saga driver even turned on their emergency lights for a few seconds as a ‘thank you’ to @driving4dummies for informing them that their lights were off.
