There are many horror stories about people encountering dishonest e-hailing drivers and normally, they target women.

Joanne Thong, 28 who is a frequent e-hailing ride user has shared some tips for women when they feel unsafe in the car.

“When you get into the e-hailing ride, it’s best to sit right behind the driver so it’s harder for them to reach you.”

“Open and close the door twice, in incase the child lock is on, meaning the door can only be opened from outside.”

Other netizens have shared their own tips as well.
