The sound of tiny mosquitoes buzzing in your ears at night can be one of the most annoying things! What’s even worse is when you have to deal with the red itchy marks left on your skin after they bite you.

However, this Malaysian netizen, @ciktiqz, took on to her Twitter to share a recent life-hack that she discovered that is truly a lifesaver and a must-have item when dealing with these annoying blood-sucking pests.

Her tweet showcases photos of the product and its impressive and effective results. In fact, the tweet has garnered over 8,000 retweets and 19,000 likes since it was posted on Wednesday, 24 February.

The product the netizen highly raved about on her Twitter is known as a mosquito repellent incense stick. Similar to mosquito coils that most of us are familiar with, these sticks need to be lighted up and placed in a holder at a corner of the room.

Another plus point to these incense sticks is that it does not use chemicals. Instead, it is made of organic ingredients to ward off pests.

These sticks are made of natural plants such as citronella, rosemary, peppermint, lemongrass, cedarwood, and bamboo.

The product sold on Shopee that was recommended by @ciktiqz can also be used to kill ants, cockroaches, flies, and other insects.

It is also safe to use around children but it may be a fire hazard, so choosing a safe place to use the incense is crucial. It is best if it is placed at a corner of a room where it is away from cloth and paper.

“They will smell and smoke a little at the start. But after a while, you won’t see any smoke or smell it anymore,” the netizen shared.

An incense stick can burn up to an hour, and they are sold for only RM1 for a pack of 30 sticks. You also have the choice of choosing scented or unscented sticks.

No more mosquito coils and rackets! Just a stick of incense will do the trick!
