Mixed race marriages aren’t exactly something uncommon in Malaysia, but seeing how various races within a family can live harmoniously and lovingly together really does give us a different sense of pride and joy.

For instance, Hajar Angelique (@hajarangelique) took to her TikTok account to showcase how her non-Muslim mother-in-law had satiated her craving for Nasi Tomato by rush-cooking the meal for her to take back to KL with her for buka puasa.

She wrote, “Fasting month with my non-Muslim parents-in-law.”

In the video, she Hajar explained that she had visited her parents-in-law over the weekend, where just before she left, she had requested for Nasi Tomato.

Her mother-in-law, with a gorgeous smile on her face, promptly fulfilled her request!

“Thank you, mummy, for preparing a meal for our breaking of fast even though you are not fasting,” she shared.

She went on to share that her multi-religious family gets along well as they respect each other.

“Even though me and my parents-in-law are of different religions and races, we still respect each other,” she added.

It’s so amazing to see how much this family loves each other, despite their differences.
