Following the recent controversy surrounding the influencers who pranked a homeless man by giving him rice mixed with chicken bones, someone is now coming forward to defend Aluk, one of the influencers.
This comes after Aluk claimed to have made an arrangement with the homeless man prior to shooting the prank, though the homeless man later claimed not to know what was happening.
Kaijie comes forward
According to a report by China Press, a friend of Aluk known only as Kaijie claimed that the entire chicken bones fiasco was merely a misunderstanding considering his personality.

“I met Aluk a year ago while filming a TikTok video. He is always willing to share and help others, especially those who want to learn editing and filming,” he said.
Kaijie also believes that the situation was a misunderstanding stemming from Aluk’s lack of English and Bahasa Melayu speaking skills, causing a communication barrier with the homeless man before they filmed the prank.

“Aluk always asks the other party’s consent before filming. Most of his previous videos were parodies of himself. Besides that, the 2 students who filmed the video with him also expressed that they wanted to shoot this kind of subject matter,” he added.
He further explained that Aluk should have stopped the other influencers from filming such a controversial matter, and to have written documentation of communication to back himself up.
He also criticised people who are attacking Aluk, comparing the backlash to bullying, especially when the homeless man was given compensation of RM100.
“This matter is really outrageous. I hope the truth can come to light.”
