Typically, work in the office would take 8 to 9 hours of our daily life and it’s amusing how some people still have the mental and physical capacity for other activities, like going to the gym or cooking dinner at home.
On her recent IG stories, Malaysian pianist Cathryn Li shared her routines of visiting the gym often for a healthy lifestyle. It didn’t take long for her to receive feedback from 1 of her followers, who believed that she has all the time in the world to do whatever she can to maintain her beauty and a healthy lifestyle.
“You don’t have to work and you have no commitment. I could’ve done the same thing if I were you.”
“You can’t, because you’re giving yourself excuses”
Cathryn then revealed that was not the only criticism she had received in her DM, and she responded to all nay-sayers in another IG story.
“Just because you don’t go to gym, just because you don’t eat clean, you came up with excuses to blame those who lead a disciplined life?”
She also explained how it’s really all about arranging your time in 1 day.
“There is 24 hours in a day, you can spend 2 hours on IG to message girls you don’t even know, but you can’t spend some time for sports and cooking.”
Cathryn then reminded others to stop giving excuses to do what they truly want and stop belittling others for the good things that they are doing for themselves.
“You’ve been lazy for too long that you’re coming up with accusations to bring down those who have efforts. And when you’re done criticising others, you’re still stuck at where you are.”
The same person who DM-ed Cathryn initially responded to the story and claimed that he was merely stating the truth, to which the pianist responded with a touch of sarcasm.
“I just found out that those who go to the gym, those who jog in the park, those who play sports or go hiking have no commitments. Since you’re on IG so much, don’t you have work to do too?”
To those who are active in gym life, how do you keep things together in the midst of your hectic schedule?
