A man paid RM150 for his monthly parking on a private island, only to lose Rm2,000.
The car owner posted about the incident on social media and said two of his tyres were stolen before lodging a report. In an official statement, PDRM in Manjung, Perak, said they are currently on the hunt for the perpetrator.
PDRM also said that the car owner was on Pangkor Island at the time of the incident and only found out that his tyres had been stolen when he was notified by a friend.
“The tyres and rims were estimated to be worth about RM2,000.”
The car had been parked on the premises in Pangkor Island since November 14 before the theft, and the police are currently investigating the case under Section 379 of the Penal Code (theft).
Police also called on the public to contact investigating officer Sergeant Roswati (011-55042081), the Manjung District Police Headquarters Operations Room (05-6886222) or the WhatsApp hotline (017-6828005) if they have any information on the case to assist in the investigation.
