Taking one’s pets out for an occasional stroll is good to get them to experience the outdoors here and there. However, what would one make of a circumstance where your pet loves being outside so much that they don’t actually want to come home?
Such an instance is a common routine for TikTok user @melhikari, whose pet cat named Kutip can’t seem to come back home for the life of him after going out for his usual daily walks. Nevertheless, the user and her family found an innovative yet handy way to get Kutip to come home.
In the video, the user’s mother, who is carrying a net, slowly approaches Kutip, who is standing outside the home of a neighbour. After getting close to the animal, the user’s mother proceeds to put the net over Kutip and slowly scoop the kitty up, carrying it with her as she walks home.
Calm yet unbothered, Kutip allows his owner to bring him home, lying in the net casually after his evening walk.
Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, the user stated that while Kutip goes on his walks daily, his mood as to whether he feels like walking home changes depending on the day itself.
“He’s the type to not eat anywhere else except at home, so we always go out to bring him back home over fear that if he doesn’t come home, he’ll go hungry,” she said to WORLD OF BUZZ.
According to the owner, the family uses a net due to Kutip’s overall fierce behaviour, having bit and scratched them in the past. However, she also alluded to the fact that Kutip doesn’t normally travel far, visiting neighbours who are four to five houses away at most.
Thoroughly entertained by the video, multiple Malaysians couldn’t help but make jokes at the owner’s expense, adding how cute Kutip looked in the video.
“Can I use this on my mother when she’s out shopping?” joked one user.
Aside from that, others also stated that Kutip was so clever to let himself get picked up and brought home, almost as though he understood that it was his time to go home.
“He looks like he’s willing… but he looks like he’s being forced… but he looks like he’s healing at the very end,” light-heartedly commented one user, while another stated how big the “catch of the day” looked like, referring to Kutip.
