For many individuals, their vehicles represent a sense of pride and joy. Representing their hard work and earned money, some even go to a large extent in an effort to customise their own cars and bring a sense of uniqueness to their automobile. However, one Malaysian automobile worker may have just taken the cake for turning a beloved local car into a one-of-a-kind creation.
Malaysian automobile worker, who simply goes by Sam, recently shared the details of a modified Perodua Kancil to his TikTok page @samthumpret. In the video, Sam revealed how he made a pretty iconic alteration to the car that made it stand out from the crowd – giving it butterfly-winged doors!
To put it simply, butterfly doors are a type of car door which moves up and out via hinges along the A-pillar of a car, which is located towards the front of the vehicle. In sharing its appearance in the clip, Sam displayed just how the car operated with its new doors, indeed moving upwards and outwards when opening it.
Providing visuals of the car from various angles, the Kancil itself looked absolutely fly, to say the least, gliding with ease when each door opened and closed.
In a brief conversation with WORLD OF BUZZ, Sam revealed that he has been working in the car industry for about 24 years, and has a deep passion and interest in anything car-related, which further inspired his creativity to make modifications to relatively any vehicle that comes his way.
“Upgrading my car was the main thought, which brought those ideas to the forefront. In the end, I added it to my career too, and to give people a new look for their rides,” said Sam to WORLD OF BUZZ.
Receiving immense attention online, many users likened the Kancil’s new doors to that of a Lamborghini, stating that the car emulated pure style with its new alteration.
“A Kancil unlike any Kancil!” light-heartedly wrote one user.
Nevertheless, one user also mentioned that this alteration may make it hard for cars to park in narrow areas, though another person jokingly asked if he could get the same feature done for his motorcycle.
