A courier deliveryman was left dumbfounded recently after he was ‘attacked’ out of nowhere by a random Malaysian man for simply doing his job.
Shared on TikTok by user @emilianor_98, a screenshot of the WhatsApp conversation between the 2 has gone viral, garnering over 556,500 views and more than 14,900 likes.
The man was angry at the courier deliveryman for delivering a parcel to his wife
The screenshot showed the man getting angry at the courier deliveryman for delivering a parcel to his wife at his home while he wasn’t there.
Using his wife’s WhatsApp account to send the message, the man told the courier deliveryman only to deliver parcels to his home if the man was there.
He added that it could cause ‘slander’ if the courier deliveryman delivered the parcel to his wife without the man being there.
The man asserted,
“Listen here, I’m her husband. After this, if you’re sending a parcel, make sure I’m here. If not, it would cause slander. K.”
The man also forbids anyone from sending parcels to the home when he’s not there
The man also said that he had told his wife that he had forbidden anyone from sending parcels to the home without him being around.
The man stressed,
“I’ve told my wife. I forbid anyone from sending any parcels without me around. If you want to deliver a parcel after this, ensure I’m here because I’m her husband.”
“I’m just delivering parcels”
Perplexed at suddenly being told off by a random man, the courier deliveryman replied,
“What’s your problem that you’re messaging me like this? I’m just delivering parcels, I have nothing to do with your wife or anyone’s wife.”
“If you don’t want parcels to be delivered, ask your wife to not order any items. Thank you.”
In the comments, many Malaysians share their 2 cents about the incident
One commenter said that her husband is the complete opposite because if a courier is delivering a parcel, he prefers that she’s at home so that when they perform cash-on-delivery (COD), she has to pay.
Meanwhile, another commenter said that if the man is being over the top, he should’ve just put the delivery address to his workplace.
