Guys, remember to always do your research before using just any cosmetic product!
After all, if you’re not aware, you may just risk damaging your health severely, like this person who lost her life due to using harmful cosmetic products for 10 long years.
Shared through a series of tweets, a girl named Didi wrote about her neighbour who suffered kidney and heart failure due to consuming harmful cosmetic products, according to The Reporter.
“I don’t know much about this neighbour but my mum told me this story. One day, another neighbour of mine said that the lady [Didi’s neighbour] was admitted to the hospital due to kidney and heart failure.”
“After an autopsy, the doctor discovered that the lady died because of a cosmetic product that she had consumed. I apologise for not knowing the name of the product. I’ve asked my mum and she has no knowledge of it too. But, I believe it’s an obscure product,” she wrote.
Oh dear!
Didi added that her mum, who visited the lady a couple of times, claimed that the lady was very beautiful and fair.
“Everyone knew she consumes some kind of product and uses cosmetic cream.”
“Fast forward a few years of using the products, one day she experienced convulsions which led to losing her health gradually; it started with a kidney failure, then a heart failure and finally her eyesight deteriorated badly,” she shared.
Didi noted that the last time someone visited her, the lady was in bed rest and was completely blind. Finally giving up on life, the lady in her 40s passed away in the hospital, leaving behind a husband and an infant who was about two to three months old. Poor child!
Didi continued,
“So, I beg all of you to not spoil your own body. We have been made aware of the negative impacts of weight loss creams that contain mercury and its long-term side effects.”
“Take the lady, for example, she was beautiful with flawless skin but, after 10 years, she contracted a lot of diseases and her body couldn’t withstand any of them until she died.”
She added,
“I hope you buy safe products for yourselves. Don’t be lazy to do some research on your skin and find a trustworthy product that you can use. Remember, not everyone has the same type of skin and only you know yourself, so you have to show yourself some love.”
Serving as a public service announcement, Didi made this shout out to urge everyone to take good care of themselves.
“What’s the use of being beautiful now if you’re going to end up suffering later?” she questioned.
True that!
“Beauty is pain” – a cliche phrase that comes to mind when speaking about beauty. If you are not familiar, this phrase is often used to glorify the torments that come with “maintaining” one’s beauty.
Well, not necessarily! In fact, there are many other non-painful ways you can maintain your beauty. Just stick to a healthy diet, regular exercise plan and to be extra safe, use organic products on your skin.
And, always remember that you’re beautiful just the way you are!
