M’sian Indian Teacher Hilariously Left Confused After Student Asks for His Help with Jawi Homework

A teacher is always there to help their students in their studies, even if the subject that they’re asking for assistance with is not the subject they’re teaching.

But what if the teacher is unfamiliar with the subject the students ask for help with?

 

A Malaysian Indian teacher left confused after a student asked for his help with his Jawi homework

Well, that’s exactly what happened in this humorous TikTok video posted by @reyycaptures, a Malaysian primary school teacher, who went viral for his confused reaction to one of his students asking for his help with homework in the video.

As of the time of writing, the video has garnered over 318,000 views and more than 40,400 likes.

In the 11-second video, the Malaysian Indian educator can be seen approaching one of his students as the latter was asking for help with his homework.

It was then revealed that the pupil was asking for help with his Jawi subject homework.

@reyycaptures then confidently asked which part of the homework the student needed help with, to which the student showed an exercise question about converting words in Jawi script to Roman alphabets.

The student further asked whether he needed to extract the word, something that @reyycaptures repeated to reconfirm the question with the student.

The camera then cut to the teacher’s face, hilariously showing how confused @reyycaptures himself was with the Jawi question.

Malaysians can’t get enough of the cute interaction

In the comments section, many Malaysians were amused by the cute interaction between the teacher and the student.

One commenter shared that the student was asking @reyycaptures about the Jawi homework as if it were a Math question, further adding to the hilarity.

Meanwhile, another commenter said that the exercise asked students to convert the Jawi script to the Roman alphabet, not to extract the base word.

Besides that, one commenter who’s an English teacher shared a similar thing that happened to her, whereby one of her students had asked her to translate a Tamil sentence to English, despite her not knowing anything about Tamil.
