The show must go on!
People often say weddings are when parents of the bride give away their child to the groom. But this clearly wasn’t the case for this bride’s parents!
Twitter user, Mira, recently posted a heartwarming tweet featuring the parents of a bride who filled in for the couple that was to wed after the groom had to be hospitalised for an operation during his wedding ceremony.
the real pengantin unfortunately unable to come for their majlis bersanding due to pengantin lelaki sakit & kena operation. The best part is parents pengantin perempuan kena replace them as raja sehari that time ?❤️ so cute but spotted the father cried ketika makan beradab. pic.twitter.com/FG49B6MzXk

The photos showcased the bride’s parents dressed in identical blue outfits smiling while walking down the aisle hand-in-hand in a beautifully decorated hall fit for a royal couple. Awww!
While they were all smiles in front of the wedding guests, the Twitter user said, “So cute! But spotted the father crying when they sat down at the table to eat.”
His daughter wasn’t there but it seemed like this father was already moved to tears just thinking about the significance of this wedding.
The tweet has since gone viral, garnering a total of 11.6k retweets and 13.7k likes. Netizens complimented the brides’ parents on their young, good looks!
Some also went on to give their prayers and best wishes to the wedding couple.
As for the actual wedding couple, the bride told Pnews:
“Thank God we were safe on the evening of 31st August. My husband complained of an uncomfortable stomach during our wedding rehearsal that night. Earlier, we went to the clinic and the doctor suspected that he had appendicitis.”
“But after further investigation in the hospital, we found out that Amirudin (the groom) had kidney stones. The doctor advised us to proceed with the surgery immediately.”
The bride even took some time out to thank Twitter netizens and updated them about her husband’s condition in response to the viral tweet.
The tweet says:
“Thank you everyone who did RT and liked. My husband will undergo an ERCP surgery at Hospital Selayang today. Hope you can pray for everything to go smoothly so he can be discharged as soon as possible. Thank you! [May] Allah bless you all!
Hopefully, everything went smoothly. We wish this couple nothing but the best for their future!
