The Covid-19 is now a pandemic and governments all over the world are taking necessary actions. Some of the countries have initiated lockdown in order to curb the spread of the coronavirus while others are slowly moving towards it.
As for us Malaysians, we have been advised to not attend any mass gatherings of more than 50 people and it seems that that advice has fallen onto deaf ears.
On 14th March, a video of a big crowd outside the Sultan Ibrahim Stadium began circulating online. Here is the video.
This video was posted by the fan club of Johor’s football team, called Boys of Straits on 14th March on Twitter but they have since deleted the tweet.
The tweet reads:
“Loyal with you, Johor! The constraints will not stop us! Let’s cheer outside the stadium for 90 minutes!”
This whole cheering situation happened during the entire 90 minutes of the Johor Darul Ta’zim versus FELDA United FC match. Needless to say, netizens were not happy and have let their anger be known.
They have already banned the spectators from going into the stadium but the fan club still insists to lepak outside the stadium in these troubled times.
They were already told to not organise any mass gathering, but they still stubbornly went on with it.
The number of Covid-19 cases in Malaysia spiked just yesterday (15th March) and the total number of cases right now is 428. As a member of the community, please practice good hygiene and take necessary precautions for the sake of safety!
