A Malaysian woman with autism was allegedly tricked into accepting a bag of rubbish recently after being told it contained food for her to break her fast.
The Negeri Sembilan kini Facebook page shared the story of the woman’s sister, who was outraged by the incident. The contents of the package reportedly included eggshells, used tea bags, and half-eaten leftover food.

“A woman expressed her disappointment and anger after claiming that her sister, who is an autistic individual, was given a package of Iftar food that contained leftovers and garbage by an unknown individual,” the page wrote.
According to the sister, the incident occurred when the woman went for a walk outside their home. An unidentified individual approached her and handed over a plastic bag, supposedly for her evening meal. However, the family was shocked upon opening it to find nothing but waste.

The unknown individual’s actions left the family heartbroken, especially as the woman had excitedly brought the package home for her mother to open.
“When she opened it, it turned out to be rubbish and leftover food. Tears came streaming down my face. Who would have the heart to do something like this?” the sister said.
She added that their family is perfectly capable of providing for her sister and has never asked for handouts from others.
