As a road user, it’s only fair for each and every one of us to pay the toll fares. Unfortunately, the notorious act of quickly speeding off the toll barrier to avoid paying the small number of fare is not new and it is still happening to this date.

Recently, a netizen shared his experience on a Facebook page known as You Drive Like An Asshole where the driver in a Waja behind him could be seen attempting to escape the toll booth without paying anything.

As the man knew the intention of the driver behind him, he purposely stepped on the brake to stop the driver from escaping the toll booth. The Waja driver was persistent and waited patiently for the man to move forward. When the man started to move, the Waja immediately tailgated him as close as he could and that was when the front car was hit a little.

As soon as the Waja had enough space, the driver immediately made his escape without stopping by to check the damage. As stated in the caption, the incident took place last night (13 March) at the Ayer Panas toll on DUKE Expressway. You can watch the full video below.

As expected, the video has since gone viral and sparked fury among the other road users who expressed their anger towards the incident.

“Shouldn’t have given him the space to cut you off. Just stay there and press on the honk.”

“No money, but still want to use the toll. Why not use the toll-free road?”

“The kind of drivers that should have their licenses revoked for a lifetime. He might have not renewed his road tax and insurance, or maybe a huge amount of pending summons.”

To escape the toll booth without paying is truly uncalled for as it is not just irresponsible, but also a risk to the other road users. How would you have reacted if you found yourself in this situation?
