Running a daycare and being a nanny at a daycare is a huge responsibility, considering the fact that you are taking care of other people’s children!

Hence, if you are no longer up for the task and are losing patience, you should consider other jobs! Sadly, that’s not the case in Malaysia as quite a number of daycares and nannies are getting caught abusing the children of their clients.

A Malaysian father, @amirjefree, took to his Instagram page to showcase CCTV footage of his child getting abused by a nanny at the daycare he had entrusted his child to, in Ipoh. The owner as well as 2 nannies have since been arrested over the abuse of not just his child, but other children as well.

He wrote, “So, this is the video of my child being abused at the Taska Nur Raihan in Meru, Ipoh. Due to the perpetrators pleading not guilty to their actions towards my kid and other children, I feel like there is a need to make this viral.”

“You have family members who are rich, you can hire a lawyer that costs RM10,000 – RM20,000 and plead not guilty, because you have the lawyer to teach and back you up.”

In the video, the nanny can be seen smacking the crying child on the face and handling her roughly and aggressively, by shoving and pressing her knee onto the child’s back.

The court case for this issue started in July and the hearing took place last month. The follow up court date has since been postponed to October 4.

“There is strong evidence but the case is on hold. It’s as if we, the parents, are being persecuted and are guilty. The perpetrators are free out there, happily waiting for the next trial, October 4.”

“I hope that the judge can sentence the perpetrator as soon as possible, with the appropriate punishment for their actions,” he added.

You can check out the CCTV footage here.

What would you do if it was your child that was being abused at a daycare? Do feel free to share your thoughts in the comment section.
