Does the recipe for a healthy marriage consist of eleven herbs and spices?
Due to the Movement Control Order, weddings have been limited to the nikah ceremony with couples not even being able to have their wedding dinners with their family and friends. Despite these restrictions, couples have been finding creative ways to proclaim their undying love towards each other through their wedding ceremonies.
This couple from Teluk Intan, Perak had their post-nikah banquet at the nearest KFC after finding out all the shops were closed for the MCO. Their photographer, Angah Photography, shared these unique pictures on Facebook which has since gone viral garnering almost 750 shares.
Speaking to World of Buzz, Angah Photography said the couple first had their nikah ceremony at the Seri Iskandar Religious Department. As per the SOPs, no one except the bride and groom and their closest family members were allowed in the nikah area.
After the ceremony, the father of the bride invited everyone to have lunch at the nearby shops (the ceremony was held on 11 February, two days after the Defence Minister allowed dine-in at restaurants). When they went to the area they found out that all the shops were closed and that’s when the bride and groom decided to just have their meal at the nearby KFC.
“As they were eating, I decided to take those pictures. This was the first time I’m taking pictures for a “banquet” that’s happening at a KFC.”
Kudos to the couple for deciding that they didn’t need a large show and banquet to celebrate their wedding, after all, isn’t love what’s most important? Colonel Sanders would be honoured!
