Our Malaysian athletes are making our country proud while competing on international stages. With our national squash player, Sivasangari Subramaniam, recently beating a world champion, we can’t wait to see how far our athletes can go.

Now, it’s time for another Malaysian team to make us proud in the face of a global competition.

The Jabatan Penerangan Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur (JaPen WPKL) took to their Twitter page to share that the Cheerleading Association and Register of Malaysia – CHARM cheerleading squad will be representing Malaysia in the Cheerleading Worlds 2024 tournament that will take place in Orlando, Florida, United States.

The CHARM squad, which is made up of 12 to 15-year-old cheerleaders, got to meet with Youth and Sports Minister, Hannah Yeoh, before they make their way for the tournament next week.

The World Cheerleading Championship will take place from April 24 to April 29, involving 10,000 athletes from 80 countries,” they added.
