During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Malaysians saw a lot of themselves helping others who were in worse off situations. The beauty of that hard time, however, brought out a sense of caring towards one another even after we made it through that wave.
A recent TikTok clip seemed to exemplify such a notion when one user captured a simple act of kindness extended from one person to another in need. Shared by Malaysian composer and content creator Irwan Hisham to his page @komposer_irwanhisham, the creator caught a moment of two motorcyclists holding an umbrella while trying to restart their vehicle in the pouring rain.
Taken at Bandar Seri Coalfields, Sungai Buloh, Irwan revealed that they were actually given the umbrella by the driver of the car next to them after their motorcycle experienced issues as it started to rain.
“Rain started pouring heavily the moment the lights turned red, and suddenly, the motorcycle’s engine also happened to die,” he said to WORLD OF BUZZ.
Moments after that, the car driver next to them handed the duo an umbrella to shade them from the harsh weather. According to Irwan, vehicles proceeded to continue driving after the traffic light turned green, though the motorcyclists kept the umbrella after the car that helped them left.
Receiving a significant amount of praise for the matter, many people expressed their gratitude towards the unnamed driver for doing the right thing and helping the motorcyclists, saying that the driver will be rewarded in spades for his actions.
“Thank goodness for people like them. Thank you for giving them the umbrella. May the driver of the car always be at ease and in good health,” wrote one user.
