Following the gruesome deaths of cats in Universiti Malaya (UM) found in mutilated states, this group of local activists took it upon themselves to rescue strays found around the area, as shared in this TikTok video.

Give this video a watch.

“We managed to rescue 22 cats around UM last night.”

“All the cats have been placed at a safe location for their health check, neutering, vaccination, deworming and defleaing.”

Taking to the comments section, one netizen shared her hope that all cats were saved in their effort. However, it was revealed that the activists couldn’t get approval from some faculties on the campus, as a comment asserted,

“Unfortunately, we could not save them all because there were faculties that were not ok with what we were doing.”

We sincerely hope that someone will put a stop to this animal cruelty and be made to face the brunt of the law to serve as an example to would-be psychos out there!
