Syukur Malaysia masih aman!
The Institute for Economics & Peace (IEP), an independent, non-partisan and non-profit international think tank recently released its latest Global Peace Index, the world’s leading measure of global peacefulness.
Ranking 163 independent states and territories according to their level of peacefulness, the index is currently in its 17th edition and presents the most comprehensive data-driven analysis of trends in peace, its economic value and how to develop peaceful societies.
In the Global Peace Index 2023, Malaysia is ranked as the 19th most peaceful nation in the world out of 163 with a score of 1.513, staying in the same position as we were in the previous year.
In a more regional overview of the rankings, our country is ranked the fourth most peaceful country in Asia-Pacific, behind New Zealand in first, Singapore in second and Japan in third.
Accordingly, Malaysia is ranked the third most peaceful country in Asia behind Singapore and Japan.
Besides that, our country also ranked favourably in two domains within the study. We are the fifth most peaceful country in the Ongoing Conflict domain, with Iceland, Mauritius, Singapore and Uruguay sharing the top spot.
Furthermore, we are also the second most peaceful country in the Militarisation domain, just behind Iceland.
