So in plague related news…
According to Sinar Harian, Arab Saudi has now released an official statement to suspend pilgrims from entering the country for Umrah as a means to stop the coronavirus from seeping through their borders.
The 25 countries that are included in the you-are-not-allowed-to-come-here list are China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Iran, Italy, South Korea, Macau, Japan, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Syria, Yemen, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Somalia and Vietnam. The country has also suspended citizens of Majlis Kerjasama Teluk (GCC) from travelling.
The Foreign Ministry of Arab Saudi further noted that the suspension is inclusive of the visitation program to Masjid Nabawi di Madinah. However, there has been no information released as to whether the decision will affect Haji at the end of June this year.
