After the carcasses of 5 stray cats were found mutilated at Universiti Malaya (UM), more alleged animal killings were reported within the university’s campus yesterday (25 December).
This is after two animal carcasses, a cat and a dog, were found mutilated near the campus gymnasium centre.
More alleged animal killings reported at UM
According to Harian Metro, a viral statement by the Universiti Malaya Students’ Union (KMUM) confirmed the incident, with the carcasses also found mutilated in a similar fashion to the previous cases.
The statement added that it had informed the campus security office regarding the incident to tighten the entrance to the campus and is in the process of getting CCTV footage. Furthermore, KMUM has also lodged a police report on the new incidents.
Previously, viral posts on social media, including this X post, revealed that the carcasses of a dog and a cat were found cut at their stomachs and their intestines removed.
